For four generations now, we are driven by the same creativity, passion, love for nature, beauty, art works and most of all, love and focus for the smallest details. ABBA design roots date back to distant past, from the beginning of the 20th century. ABBA design was founded in the heart of Serbia, Gruzha, near Kragujevac, derived from a small family carpenter’s workshop that was engaged in restoration and production of exclusive furniture for leading members of the Serbian royal aristocracy.

Even at the days when production begun, despite the trend of time in which the functionality and quality were the primary requirements of clients, our carpenters also emphasized the aesthetics of the product. Ever since those days, in our small family carpentry workshop, dreams began to come true for those chosen ones, those who understood that the joy of life arises from the harmony of natural materials, art aesthetics and perfect hand-craftsmanship of our masters. Through the generations, skills and abilities of our carpenters, upholsterers and smelters, gained its final form and in the early 21th century became ABBA design.

We proudly point that we kept and maintained completely identical, the traditional hand-making method in production of furniture, mostly from the highest quality, specially selected pieces of massive wood. Our production starts by choosing the most appropriate pieces of raw material for a particular piece of furniture that is produced and continues in the multiphase process of hand treatment of woodworking. Our finishing techniques of woodworking are especially guarded century-old heritage.

All our pieces are hand-crafted, small works of art produced in limited editions, frequently made as unique, made to measure. Our furniture pieces are massive and, as such, often weighing more than 200kg. Each piece has a printed hand-engraved metal plate with the serial number and is accompanied by a special Black Card (International Certificate) with personalized client’s data. Each product goes through several stages of quality control in order to certify its excellence.

The design is a special philosophy to which we attach the utmost importance. ABBA design cooperates with renowned Italian designers, masters of their craft who pay attention to the smallest details and every line, who are able to embody the sophisticated needs of the chosen ones. ABBA Design and Jovana Dragicevic (leading designer), who manages the creative process protecting the heritage of the past times; try not to fail the tradition in any way, still interweaving the contemporary style of today in our products.
